My husband and I researched a lot of venues in the DMV area, and as soon as we came across Sweeney Barn, we knew we found our place. My husband's last name is Sweeney, so we took it as a sign it was meant to be!

After our venue tour, we knew we wanted to compliment the aesthetic of the barn and its rustic style. The venue has a lot of different decor for their guests to use, a lot of which fit the vision we had, so that helped us quite a bit managing our decor budget. There are many details around and in the barn that not only our guests enjoyed, but made the perfect backdrop for photos.

Andrea, the GM, was fantastic from the start. She was communicative, suggestive, and thorough going over the entire process, features, timeline, etc. Andrea, along with our entire vendor team, coordinated together so well during the planning process and day of. They were attentive and detail oriented, which made us feel comfortable and at ease the entire time.

I mean... what's not to love about Sweeney Barn As a wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of photographing at some awesome wedding venues. Sweeney Barn stands out for it's extremely hospitable and professional staff along with being a very clean and well kept venue. I've been here now around 4 or 5 times, and each time has been a delight. They offer both indoor and outdoor ceremony options with a very roomy reception space. Not to mention the photography opportunities across the venue are endless with that iconic spiral staircase that you can't pass up. If you're looking for a venue that feels home-away-from-home and has the elegance to make your wedding day an unforgettable experience, Sweeney Barn is the place for you.

My now-husband and I discovered this venue through Taste of Elegance catering (who we also ended up using for our wedding) and it was such a miracle that we did! We had toured several venues and none of them were quite right. When we saw Sweeney Barn, we knew almost instantly that it was perfect! The venue is beautiful and most other venues of this style are at least an hour out west, far from airports and hotels. Andrea is very helpful and responsive to emails. She was very helpful in getting us chairs for our reception as well! Our ceremony was at church, so we used the downstairs room for cocktail hour. It was a lovely August day and we were able to put out the lawn games that they have available! We had around 100 guests and there was plenty of room to move around while the DJ helped my family with a live music performance. The remainder of our reception was upstairs and we were able to make room for a buffet, manned pasta station, full bar, dessert table, and photobooth all while having plenty of room for 13 guest tables and a dance floor! The room is large, but the arched ceilings and low chandeliers make it feel very cozy as well. We happily made use of their available tables and round arch. Our photographer was able to capture many great photos in the beautiful spiral staircase as well as outside during our sunset photos. I hope to come back for another event someday!

Attending a friend's wedding here on a Sunday afternoon, Sweeney Barn was a great venue. It's just off the highway, making it an easy drive from D.C. There's spacious parking. The ceremony was on the bottom floor and the reception up a beautiful staircase. There are clean restrooms and strong AC.

Sweeney Barn was undoubtedly the best decision we made in terms of wedding vendors. Sweeney Barn is a stunning venue, offering versatility with its three event spaces (upstairs, downstairs, and outside). Andrea, Sweeney’s GM, always, without fail provided prompt responses and was incredibly organized throughout our year-long planning process. Andrea always replied to my emails quickly with clear, logical solutions, putting me at ease.
Our day-of representative, Kathy, was also exceptional. When my bustle malfunctioned, she quickly devised a solution that was seamless. Kathy was actively involved in the setup and takedown, and she was the person who did our initial walk-through (before we selected a venue), which convinced us to choose Sweeney Barn. Understanding pricing and what’s included can be challenging, but Kathy provided just the right amount of detail during our walk-through, ensuring we felt informed without being overwhelmed. This was a major selling point.
I am truly grateful to Sweeney and the team for making our wedding so special. Their partnership was invaluable, and I cannot recommend Sweeney Barn enough. We feel incredibly fortunate to have been married in such a beautiful and unique location with a truly rockstar team of professionals. Will post more pictures when i get the professional ones!

We feel in love with Sweeney Barn when we walked in the door. The venue is breathtaking! Our guests loved it! The team took care of every detail and made me feel like a Queen. I got married at Sweeney barn a couple weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier with the venue. From start to finish Andrea and her team were fantastic to work with. Along with helping me secure my dream venue, Andrea answered many questioned along the way that were so helpful as someone who doesn’t live in the Manassas area. The recommended vendors we used were all fantastic as well. Many of our guests shared that they loved the venue so much. We wanted a beautiful setting that could allow for an elegant ceremony and a fun reception. It did just that! One concern I had when picking the venue was that there wouldn’t be many scenic outdoor locations for photos. However, this is definitely not the case. We got incredible photos outside and all the nearby buildings are hidden well. Also, the location was perfect for many guests traveling from the east coast. They were able to drive and park easily. Thank you so much for everything!
