This was my second time working with Discover your Italy. I travel the world for business and their team's support is unparalleled. From the first time I met Matteo back in 2016 to the completion of this trip, my experience has been fantastic. Matteo and his team love what they do and it shows.

For this trip, my wife and I started our adventure in Venice and worked our way through, Como, St. Moritz, Parma, Tuscany, Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. Some things you must not miss include a boar tour of Venice, cooking class in Tuscany, wine tour/tasting at Castello di Albola, Vespa tour of Rome, private tour of Pompeii, and hiking the Path of the Gods with Maurizio on the Amalfi Coast.

We used Discover Your Italy for a family trip to Sicily and Calabria.

Our trip was amazing. The trip plan was developed with Mateo over several discussions/iterations until we arrived at the final one.

Once in Italy, they checked in with us to make sure that everything was to our liking. It was!

Our itinerary was awesome. Just the right mix of guided tours, free time, restaurant reservations and find your own place. We traveled with 2 seniors, four 30 something’s, and a 3 year old. Not an easy group to plan for, but it all worked. I would use Mateo for every trip to Italy, and I plan on going back (it was amazing).

Matteo planned a trip that perfectly matched what we thought our vacation should be. His suggested activities were spot on. The towns in Tuscany that he recommended were ones that would have taken me hours to search out but were ones we would not have wanted to miss. The 2 towns he recommended guides were definitely necessary and the guides were two of the best guides we have ever had. Impeccable English with lots of local information. When the hotel for my meeting filled up, he found us a new one just down the street that was much better! Restaurant recommendations were small local venues with amazing food. Rental car had all the bells and whistles and Apple Play so we did not get lost in the countywide once. The hotels were all historic and ones I don’t think I could have found on my own but all had the old world charm we were looking for. Car services were all on time with great cars and drivers. I will definitely recommend Matteo to any of my friends who love good wine and food!

Upon first reaching out to Discover your Italy and meeting Lucia, we immediately felt like we were going to be in good hands. She asked a couple of questions and put together an itinerary that we will always remember. We knew we were going to be taken care of when the car service that she arranged dropped us off in Venice to a waiting boat (water taxi) that looked and felt like a limo. The location of all of the hotels were great and their service, using WhatsApp, checked in with us to make sure everything was going as expected. All of the tour guides were top notched and we didn't know that we would learn so much about Italy in such a short time. One of the highlights was the cooking class she setup for my wife and I. Meeting the chef in the market and having an espresso while taking in the sights, smells, and tastes of the market made for a great start. The dishes we made were wonderful and we have already bought everything to remake it here for our friends. Discover your Italy was recommended to us and we will definitely recommend them to others. They were excellent from the service to the staff to the technology. Shout out to Matteo and Barbara!
Their professionalism helped to alleviate any concerns around traveling to a new part of the world. We enjoyed working with them and would wholeheartedly recommend them to family & friends.

The trip far exceeded expectations and we found ourselves enjoying every day as much as the others.
Logistically we have to give high praise to our drivers. Every one of them were professional, personable and knowledgeable of our areas, this made the trip so much more enjoyable knowing we were in good hands as we literally drove around the island of Sicily.

The overall experience was memorable, some favorites include:
our meal in SCIACCA at Hostaria del Vicolo, the best meal of our trip and given the food in Sicily that is high praise;

our boat tour in TAORMINA on La Rosa dei Venti, the scenery from the Ionian Sea view of the coastline was gorgeous and swimming in the Ionian Sea was a once in a lifetime experience;

the walking tour of PALERMO with our guide Chiara visiting the markets and tasting the foods and enjoying the city center

the cooking class in SIRACUSA enjoying the whole process of shopping, cooking and of course the final meal

This was our first trip to Sicily, if we could change anything it would be the more time spent in SCIACCA and the days of the week we were in TAORMINA. We were in Taormina on a Saturday & Sunday when crowds were at their peak.

We could not recommend our experience with Discoveryouritaly more. Cristiano set up a private bespoke ten day itinerary through Emilia Romagna, and every little detail was taken care of: premium accommodations, tour guides, activities and transportation. We never had to wait for our driver, but never felt particularly rushed either. The guides were mostly very knowledgeable, and the activities—like a pasta making class at Casa Artusi and a visit to a luthier’s workshop in Cremona—were thoughtfully selected. When anything did arise, communication with the team was quick and clear. They also helped with culinary recommendations or reservations when requested, but that side of exploration was mostly left to us, which I believe most guests would prefer. It is not a budget experience by any means, but it was very fairly priced for the care and precision that went into all the arrangements. We’ll definitely look to work with them again the next time we visit Italy.
