Without exaggeration, Giullia is the best tour guide I have ever had; my wife and I feel fortunate that we got to have a private tour with her for a half day! We experienced what so many others have shared - sincere passion for her country, her region and the people who take so much pride in what they do. Giulia is THE BEST!! Her tour of Caseficio Rosola was the *highlight* of our entire two weeks in Italy. Her enthusiastic spirit is so infectious, her passion for what she's sharing with you is so genuine, you cannot help but feel like she's letting you in on special secrets and experiencing things you'll remember forever! We learned a lot, we had so much fun, and the cheese tasting was SO GOOD (we took all the leftovers and ate them the next two days!). She gave us great recommendations about more to eat & see in the area. Also her dad was the cutest (he did not come on our tour, we just met him after lol). As a chef, traveling and working in Emilia Romagna at the time- I was impressed and inspired by her passion for the slow food products of this wonderful region. Giulia made our trip to the Emilia Romagna region memorable. Giulia’s passion was evident from our initial conversation. Giulia arranged private tours of the following: 1. An award winning dairy farm to experience the Parmigiano Reggiano production process “live”. 2. An artisanal family run Prosciuttificio where we learned how this delicacy is produced. 3. Traditional Balsamic Vinegar producer which ended with a tasting of different agings of traditional balsamic. 4. A pasta cooking class with a local chef at her "gastronomia" which included dinner and wine. These were intimate experiences in locations where you likely would not visit without Giulia’s knowledge and guidance. Grazie Mille Giulia for a fabulous experience!

When I first heard Giulia speaking about her home region of Emilia Romagna on the Untold Italy’s podcast, I immediately reworked our planned itinerary to include more time in the area and a tour with Giulia. Last Thursday, my family, some friends and I had the chance to take that tour, which included Parmigiano, Prosciutto, and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar and it was spectacular! First, Giulia is a dream to work with and went out of her way to make the day special for us. After emailing over the past few months, meeting her in person felt more like reconnecting with a friend than meeting our tour guide. Her knowledge and passion for the region and its products are unparalleled, and it is obvious that the producers she works with love her as well. Because we were with Giulia, we gained access to places and experiences that would not have otherwise been available to us. We had a guided tour of a parmesan cheese factory, Caseificio Rosola, with Giulia. She is such a wonderful guide, I cannot recommend her enough! It was clear that the folks at Rosola are fond of her and as a result the tour was intimate, informative and an excellent time. She and the head cheese maker walked us through each step of the process. Her knowledge and presentation are outstanding. Her English is impeccable and she is such a cheerful person! I must add that we made a scheduling error and she saved the day by graciously worked us into an existing tour. After touring the facility we had a yummy cheese tasting picnic. Following that, we headed to a nearby restaurant for a private dinner in a rustic four hundred year old farm house situated in an ancient chestnut grove. The owner/chef showed us around the property and explained the historical significance. The setting and the food were awesome. It was a very fine way to end such a great day. On our next trip I definitely want to explore around Modena with Rezdora!
